Responsibilities
As a Welder, your key duties will include:
- Interpreting welding process specifications accurately
- Operating manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment
- Reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals
- Examining welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications
- Operating flame-cutting equipment and oxygen arc cutting (AOC) tools
- Determining the weldability of various materials
- Operating hoisting and lifting equipment safely
- Fabricating or repairing metal parts using pre-set welding machines
- Using brazing or soldering machines to bond metals or fill gaps
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment
Requirements
- Proficiency in English
- Completion of College or CEGEP education
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant welding experience
- Ability to work on-site (no remote work option available)
