Responsibilities
As a Plumber, you will support the Engineering Services team by maintaining and repairing essential plumbing systems across healthcare facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining water supply systems including hot and cold-water tanks, pipes, taps, filters, and valves
- Working on roofing systems such as flashings, spouting, downpipes, and various roofing materials
- Managing drainage systems for stormwater and sewerage using different materials
- Maintaining sewerage systems including tanks, pipework, cisterns, and fixtures
- Supporting mechanical services such as heating systems, radiators, and heat exchangers
- Servicing equipment like pan sanitizers, gas appliances, cooling towers, and boiling water units
- Participating in shift rosters, including on-call duties
- Ensuring all work meets safety and operational standards
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Trade qualification in plumbing
- Experience working in a commercial or large-scale environment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including rostered shifts
