The role

Join Locale’s skilled civil team and deliver underground network projects across Shepparton. We are seeking VESI-accredited Civil Labourers to support our projects. In addition, you will help deliver high-quality work to VEDN standards.

Your everyday

Assist with trenching, cable hauling, bedding, and reinstatement activities in line with VEDN standards.
Before starting tasks, review job packs and understand the scope of work, SWMS, and safety requirements.
Complete excavation permits. Also, follow Locale’s HSEQ framework, including pre-start checks and risk assessments.
Maintain safe work practices around live electrical assets. This includes correct PPE use and following exclusion zones.
Support Crew Leads with site setup, housekeeping, and compliance documents.

Must Have

Full VESI accreditation.
Experience in civil construction and underground works.
Strong knowledge of VEDN technical standards and asset protection.
Ability to read and understand job packs and SWMS accurately.
Valid driver’s licence.
