Assessment Centre

PYBAR is inviting Expressions of Interest for its New to Industry Assessment Centre.

The Assessment Centre will be held in person in Devonport on 22 October 2026.

Whether you want to start a new career, develop practical skills, or take your first step into the mining industry, PYBAR wants to hear from you.

No previous underground mining experience is required.

PYBAR is looking for people with the right attitude, a strong commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn.

  • Nipper – 14/14 roster

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Live in Tasmania.
  • Be genuinely interested in starting a career in underground mining.
  • Be willing to work 12-hour shifts during both days and nights.
  • Hold a current Manual Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Be available to attend the in-person Assessment Centre in Devonport on 22 October 2026.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
  • Be reliable, motivated, and willing to learn.
  • Be physically capable of working in an underground mining environment.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
