Description
The dishwasher’s goal is to maintain the highest professional standard of cleanliness while keeping up with a high volume of dishes and cleaning tasks. You will keep the dish area clean, organized, and safe for yourself and other staff in the kitchen.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glasses, flatware, pots, and pans by machine or by hand.
- Ensure all items are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Organize and store cleaned items in their designated locations.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure timely cleaning and availability of dishes. Work efficiently during peak hours to keep up with demand.
- Empty, dispose of, and clean trash and recycling items.
- Transport full trash bags, recycling bins, cardboard, and food compost bins to their designated disposal locations.
- Monitor dishwashing supplies and communicate when supplies are needed.
- Ensure dishwashing machines are working properly and efficiently. Report any issues or malfunctions.
- Sweep, scrub, and mop floors daily or when spills occur.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation.
- Assist in food preparation during slow periods.
- Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the chef at any time.
- Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during holiday and peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. The position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain. You may also be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. You must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.
Physical Demands of Position Include
You will often lift and carry up to 25 pounds. About 90–100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Sitting is occasional and takes less than 15% of the time.
