Responsibilities
As a Cashier, your key duties will include:
- Verifying financial figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
- Maintaining and securing financial records, cash, and cash equivalents
- Recording and analyzing computerized financial data
- Classifying and summarizing financial information using journals and ledgers
- Completing period-end closing procedures and financial reports
- Auditing cashier banks in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Managing petty cash, cashier banks, and related documentation
- Identifying and resolving cash variances
- Acting as a liaison with banking institutions and armored transport services
- Supporting internal, external, and regulatory audits
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding company assets
- Collaborating with team members to achieve departmental goals
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in finance or accounting
- No supervisory experience required
- No specific license or certification needed
- Ability to handle basic physical tasks such as lifting light objects
