Job Responsibilities
Ensure all welding work meets industry standards and company quality requirements.
Perform welding on stainless steel components using TIG, MIG, and other appropriate welding techniques.
Fabricate and assemble stainless steel parts according to blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Inspect welds to ensure precision, strength, and high-quality finishing, free from defects.
Operate, maintain, and shut down welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve welding and fabrication challenges.
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of welding tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Support and assist in training junior welders and apprentices when required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical welding certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a stainless steel welder, ideally within marine, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven experience in welding stainless steel components.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments, including confined spaces.
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on high-quality output.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
