Responsibilities
As a Data Center Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining server and network equipment
- Performing structured cabling, including copper and fiber optic installations
- Executing hardware deployments, upgrades, and decommissioning tasks
- Monitoring environmental systems such as power, cooling, and security
- Responding to incidents and performing technical troubleshooting
- Maintaining accurate documentation and tracking IT assets
- Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to ensure efficiency
- Supporting capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades
Requirements
Candidates interested in this role should meet the following requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in data center operations
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems such as Cat6/6a and fiber (OM3/OM4/OS2)
- Experience with rack and stack operations in server environments
- Understanding of power distribution systems and UPS infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work in physically demanding environments
