Responsibilities
As a Caregiver, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our residents receive compassionate and personalized support. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with personal care and daily living activities while maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Providing mobility assistance as outlined in individual care plans.
- Maintaining accurate and timely healthcare documentation.
- Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities to promote wellbeing.
- Supporting the development of a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.
- Collaborating with nursing staff and management to deliver person-first care.
Requirements
- NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate (Level 2–4) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in aged care or a similar healthcare environment (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate nature and a genuine passion for elderly care.
- Ability to work flexible shift hours (4 days on, 2 days off; mix of AM and PM shifts).
- Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
