Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care and assistance to residents in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Administer and monitor medications as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their well-being and comfort.
  • Observe, document, and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed according to health, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Requirements

  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (required).
  • Current Physical Examination.
  • Negative 2-step TB skin test (or chest X-ray if positive).
  • Must be able to pass a background check (applicant responsible for $20 fee).
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide respectful and patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing residents’ needs.
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and empathy toward residents and staff.
