Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and assistance to residents in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Administer and monitor medications as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their well-being and comfort.
- Observe, document, and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to the supervisor.
- Ensure all tasks are performed according to health, safety, and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (required).
- Current Physical Examination.
- Negative 2-step TB skin test (or chest X-ray if positive).
- Must be able to pass a background check (applicant responsible for $20 fee).
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide respectful and patient-centered care.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing residents’ needs.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.
- Positive attitude, teamwork, and empathy toward residents and staff.
