Responsibilities

As an Accounting Clerk, your key duties will include:

  • Supporting daily financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Preparing monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Performing bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance
  • Monitoring bank reconciliations and managing cash balances
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Reconciling daily revenue reports and investigating discrepancies
  • Assisting with tax filings, VAT reporting, and audits
  • Maintaining strong cash control procedures
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring data integrity
  • Reporting invoices to tax authorities and supporting compliance processes
  • Processing online transactions and related invoices
  • Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies
  • Collaborating with hotel departments to improve financial workflows
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Managing cash flow and hotel cash control systems

Requirements

  • Previous experience in accounting or a similar financial role
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
  • Understanding of Spanish and Balearic tax regulations
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems (Opera v5, Opera Cloud, or similar)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
