Responsibilities
As a Driver and Storeman/Forklift Operator, your responsibilities will include:
Deliveries & Transport:
- Handling daily deliveries between the factory, warehouse, and sites
- Ensuring items are delivered on time, accurately, and in good condition
- Maintaining delivery schedules and communicating clearly with sites
Offloading & Site Coordination:
- Managing safe and efficient offloading at sites
- Planning offloading requirements based on site conditions
- Coordinating forklift use, labour, and special access needs
Logistics Planning:
- Planning delivery routes for maximum efficiency
- Liaising with internal teams to prioritize and prepare materials
Equipment & Vehicle Responsibility:
- Operating a forklift for loading and offloading
- Conducting regular vehicle and equipment checks
- Handling tools and equipment properly and returning them after use
Warehouse Support:
- Assisting with stock dispatch and receipt
- Keeping the warehouse organized and supporting general operations
- Handling damaged returns to the factory
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years’ experience
- Valid forklift license with at least 3 years’ experience
- Computer literate
- Own reliable vehicle
Advantageous:
- Experience with SAP
