Responsibilities
The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting welding process specifications for various projects
- Reading and understanding welding blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Examining welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Using brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- Operating pre-set welding machines for fabricating or repairing metal parts and products
- Operating brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams
- Maintaining welding, brazing, and soldering equipment and performing minor repairs
