The Welder role is a critical technical position supporting maintenance and fabrication operations under the LOGCAP program. Based in the Philippines, this position involves hands-on welding, repair, and fabrication work in demanding environments. The role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to perform under challenging physical and environmental conditions.

Responsibilities
- Weld metal components to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant equipment, motors, and generators using brazing, arc, and gas welding techniques.
- Interpret layouts, blueprints, and work orders to complete welding tasks accurately.
- Perform thermal cutting, grinding, and preparation of metal surfaces prior to welding.
- Repair cracked or broken parts, fill holes, and modify metal components to required dimensions.
- Position and clamp fabricated metal components in preparation for welding.
- Locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads using inspection equipment and gas torches.
- Meet certification and performance testing standards required by employers, governmental agencies, or professional associations.
- Comply with all safety, fire, and site regulations at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (experience may substitute for education where applicable).
- Must provide copies of welding certifications.
- Must be a Filipino citizen with a valid Host Nation Driver’s License.
- Valid National Certificate (NC) I Welder certification required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in various welding techniques and tools or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to pass and maintain required AWS Welding Code Certifications.
- Willingness and ability to work in extreme environmental conditions.
Skills
- Proficiency in gas welding, brazing, and multiple arc welding processes.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and reports.
- Intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work safely while using personal protective equipment (PPE).
