Responsibilities
The Plumbing Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining all mechanical and plumbing systems throughout the hotel. Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical and plumbing installations.
- Maintaining HVAC units, motors, belts, bearings, and lighting systems across hotel and retail areas.
- Troubleshooting and repairing non-operational mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Performing welding work as required.
- Completing all assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- Assisting other trades and retail maintenance teams when required.
- Responding to maintenance calls and reporting unresolved issues to the supervisor.
- Conducting chemical tests for boilers, chillers, and swimming pools.
- Operating the Building Management System (BMS).
- Supporting life safety systems, including pumps and emergency diesel equipment.
- Participating in the fire response team and emergency standby duties.
- Performing preventive maintenance as scheduled by the Engineering Office.
- Coordinating with vendors and ordering replacement or repair parts.
- Maintaining adequate inventory of spare parts and materials.
- Monitoring water supply readings and system performance.
- Ensuring cleanliness of work areas, tools, uniform, and personal appearance, especially in guest areas.
Requirements
