Key Responsibilities
As a Farm Attendant, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and feeding prawns while conducting regular health checks
- Identifying and reporting any health or environmental concerns
- Performing general farm maintenance on ponds, equipment, and surrounding areas
- Accurately recording farm data using iPads to track growth and conditions
- Working collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
- Maintaining strict adherence to Tassal’s Zero Harm safety culture
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Legal right to work in Australia
- Ability to work in hot, humid, wet, and outdoor conditions, including wading in ponds
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour
- Strong attention to detail for monitoring prawn health and maintaining records
- Valid driver’s licence (manual preferred) and reliable transport
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
Skills and Desired Knowledge
