Key Responsibilities
- Assist the management team in setting goals and objectives for the kitchen.
- Prepare and cook food in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining high quality and consistency.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Monitor and adhere to food safety plans, hygiene standards, and WH&S compliance.
- Support the café in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of kitchen processes and workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a chef or in a similar culinary role.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced kitchen environments.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and workplace health and safety (WH&S) compliance.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong work ethic and dedication to producing high-quality food consistently.
