Security Officer Job In Singapore

ESR Group is seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to safeguard its properties and ensure a safe, secure, and orderly environment for tenants, visitors, and stakeholders. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, operational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively to security and emergency situations within a dynamic retail and property management environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety and security of assigned properties.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and safety equipment, including CCTV, fire alarm systems, access control, and lift and escalator systems.
  • Manage access control for restricted areas to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, medical emergencies, fire incidents, facility faults, and police assistance cases.
  • Document incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports for investigation and record-keeping.
  • Enforce property security policies, rules, and regulations, including no-smoking zones, permit-to-work orders, and traffic advisories.
  • Provide professional customer service by assisting tenants, visitors, and the public with directions and information.
  • Serve as a Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) member, executing emergency procedures and evacuation plans when required.
  • Handle found property in accordance with proper chain-of-custody and documentation procedures.
  • Manage traffic flow, car park operations, illegal parking issues, and wheel-clamp enforcement.
  • Perform crowd control duties during events or incidents to ensure public safety and order.

Requirements

  • Minimum PLRD Security Officer (SO) License.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Security Officer.
  • Physically fit and able to perform long periods of walking and standing.
  • Occupational First Aid and AED Certification.
  • WSQ Respond to Fire Emergency in Buildings certification (highly recognized).
  • Experience in MCST asset deployment with knowledge of BMSMA by-laws (highly recognized).

Skills and Desired Knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security systems, emergency response procedures, and incident reporting.
  • Understanding of MCST operations, strata management, and BMSMA regulations.
  • Ability to manage disputes, incidents, and stakeholder interactions professionally.
  • Good observation skills and attention to detail.
