Responsibilities
As a Welder with Aubricks NZ, your key duties include:
- Performing welding and cutting tasks on construction projects such as buildings, bridges, and pipelines.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications to ensure accurate and compliant welds.
- Setting up, maintaining, and operating MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines and related tools.
- Inspecting and testing welds to meet design specifications, safety, and quality standards.
- Conducting repairs and maintenance on metal structures as required.
- Following all workplace safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborating with team members to complete tasks efficiently and maintain high productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant welding experience in construction or manufacturing.
- No formal qualification required, though a relevant certification is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to handle demanding work environments.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Willingness to work weekends or overtime when required.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to welding and construction sites.
- Strong problem-solving and repair abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
