Responsibilities

As a Welder with Aubricks NZ, your key duties include:

  • Performing welding and cutting tasks on construction projects such as buildings, bridges, and pipelines.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications to ensure accurate and compliant welds.
  • Setting up, maintaining, and operating MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines and related tools.
  • Inspecting and testing welds to meet design specifications, safety, and quality standards.
  • Conducting repairs and maintenance on metal structures as required.
  • Following all workplace safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Collaborating with team members to complete tasks efficiently and maintain high productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant welding experience in construction or manufacturing.
  • No formal qualification required, though a relevant certification is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to handle demanding work environments.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Willingness to work weekends or overtime when required.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
  • Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to welding and construction sites.
  • Strong problem-solving and repair abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on precision and efficiency.
