Responsibilities
- Design and plan civil engineering components of cold storage buildings, including foundations, structural systems, drainage, and utilities
- Prepare, review, and interpret site plans, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and assessments to ensure project suitability and construction quality
- Oversee construction activities and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Ensure structural integrity of cold storage facilities, considering insulation, temperature control, and long-term durability
- Perform load calculations, foundation design, and material selection suitable for cold storage environments
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and progress documentation
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project solutions
- Review and approve construction methods and materials in line with best practices
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and local building codes
- Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technical staff
- Report directly to the Executive President
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Registered / Licensed Civil Engineer
- Minimum of 3 years of professional civil engineering experience
- Proven experience in industrial, cold storage, or temperature-sensitive facility projects
- Willingness to travel as required (up to 100%)
- Ability to work on-site in Mandaue City
Skills
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles and construction methods
- Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or equivalent
- Familiarity with cold storage systems, thermal insulation, refrigeration coordination, and energy-efficient construction
- Excellent project coordination, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards
