Responsibilities
As a Construction Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, reliability, and efficiency across major construction projects. Your duties will include:
- Performing precise set out, verification, as-built, and documentation tasks for engineering and construction works.
- Preparing accurate plans, measurements, calculations, and reports to support engineering teams.
- Managing and maintaining surveying instruments, software, and data management systems (e.g., Leica, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Operating surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and theodolites for measurements and positioning.
- Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards on-site.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to achieve project milestones.
Requirements
- Diploma or University qualification in Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction surveying, preferably within high-rise or built-form projects.
- Proficiency with surveying software and instruments such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d, and Leica equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and White Card.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening (ongoing periodic testing may apply).
- Full working rights in Australia.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in major infrastructure, civil, or commercial construction projects.
- Background in 3D structural steel or large high-bay racking projects.
- Advanced knowledge of BIM integration and 3D modelling for construction applications.
