Responsibilities
- Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of livestock workers, machinery operators, harvesting labourers, and maple syrup workers.
- Assist with product movement during winter months and prepare goods for shipment.
- Oversee breeding programs and livestock-related activities.
- Maintain a clean farm environment and ensure proper care and upkeep of equipment.
- Monitor procedures to maintain animal and crop health and welfare.
- Supervise crop operations including grain planting, growing, and harvesting.
- Perform maple tree tapping in various weather conditions.
- Oversee maintenance of farm infrastructure, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure farm safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Perform general farm duties as needed.
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Strong punctuality and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s licence (asset).
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Not afraid of small animals.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Experience operating farm machinery (asset).
- Mechanical inclination (asset).
