Responsibilities
- Weld steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel materials using SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW processes.
- Perform 3G, 4G plate, and 6G pipe welding with proficiency.
- Execute high-quality welds according to specifications, ensuring strength, accuracy, and durability.
- Operate and maintain related tools and equipment, including TIG/stick welders, grinders, torches, drills, forklifts, hoists, and slings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- Select appropriate filler materials, heat ranges, and techniques based on project requirements.
- Inspect and verify weld quality, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with safety protocols.
- Perform additional fabrication, repair, or maintenance tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a professional welder.
- Current Welder Certification required; ability to pass ABS 6G SMAW pipe test.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and proper equipment handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight project deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project demands.
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs, bend, climb, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and environments (heat, cold, grease, dirt, water, etc.).
- Good vision, hearing, and balance for safety and precision.
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG, MIG, Stick, and Flux Core Welding.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper equipment operation.
- Experience with metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and layout.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to maintain focus and consistency during repetitive, high-quality welds.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
