Responsibilities
As a Laundry Attendant, you will contribute to daily laundry operations and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Your duties will include:
- Operating commercial-grade washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment.
- Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding large batches of laundry.
- Inspecting laundry items to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures, including proper manual handling.
- Keeping the laundry area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assisting with laundry deliveries or pickups when required.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s Licence and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy laundry loads safely.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Physical stamina for repetitive tasks and standing for long periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Previous experience in laundry operations or delivery work is an advantage but not required.
