Responsibilities
As a Building Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components
- Performing preventive maintenance and ensuring equipment operates within design standards
- Handling repairs for mechanical systems, furniture, fire safety systems, and control systems
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Managing energy efficiency programs to optimize system performance
- Conducting inspections of building systems including fire alarms and HVAC units
- Responding to emergency maintenance needs when required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, including proper handling of hazardous materials
- Supporting and coaching team members while sharing technical knowledge
- Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to resolve operational issues
- Preparing and communicating technical information and reports
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Licensed Electrical Engineer (EE) or Mechanical Engineer (ME)
- 2–3 years of experience in Facilities Management
- Data Center experience is an advantage
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads and climbing ladders
- Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance practices
